UFC pay-per-view fights on ESPN+ will see a price increase in 2023.
Fans currently pay $74.99 per event, with that price growing to $79.99 in January with UFC 283, according to Disney. The increase is the second time the digital outlet has raised prices by $5 per event, with the cost starting at $69.99 as the calendar turned to January in 2022.
Disney claims the increase showcases “the value of ESPN+ and the popularity and quality of UFC events”, according to a report from Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal.
The price increase does not change the event structure for UFC. It will still hold it’s Fight Night events on Friday evenings on ESPN linear channels. The Fight Night series will continue to be seen on ESPN+ for regular subscribers, while higher-caliber and title fights will remain on the pay-per-view structure.
