FOX executives were expecting a big ratings number for Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, and that turned out to be the case.
On Monday, the network reported that 113 million tuned in across FOX, FOX Deportes, FOX Sports and NFL digital to watch the Chiefs beat the Eagles. That figure makes this year’s Super Bowl the most-watched in six years and the third most-watched TV show ever.
Kansas City and Philadelphia were obviously the two top-metered markets in terms of viewership. Rounding out the top 10 were Cincinnati, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Norfolk, Charlotte, Minneapolis and St. Louis.
The halftime show, which featured superstar performing artist Rhianna, averaged 118.7 million.
FOX stated that all told, 182.6 million viewers watched all or part of the big game on FOX and FOX Deportes.
