Newstalk KZRG revealed on Tuesday that the transmitter site was the target of overnight vandalism, leaving the AM 1310 signal temporarily down.
Staffers eventually got to the site of the issue to work on repairs. Nonetheless, KZRG noted that few details about the vandalism at the time were known.
KZRG’s Peter Thiele provided an update on the situation, noting that whatever the reason was for the vandalism, it won’t stop them from delivering the various news coverage that listeners are used to from them.
“The commitment of Newstalk KZRG is to the four states and to our listeners,” Thiele said. “Nothing will stand in the way of us providing you with the conservative opinion, quality news, and great weather that you have come to expect from Newstalk KZRG.
“That’s our commitment to you. Whether it be vandalism whether it be for whatever reason, the team at KZRG is here for you. And again, our commitment never wavering because your commitment to us has never changed.”
