Netflix has announced a new sports documentary centered on the downfall of the Montreal Expos in 2004. The untitled show will be done in partnership with Montreal film company Attraction.

Jean-Francois Poisson will direct the project which Netflix says ““will explore the setbacks that led to the team’s departure, and how it continues to spark debate 20 years later.”

Attraction President Richard Speer said, “The Expos were the first MLB team outside of the U.S., and despite their departure from Montreal, they continue to have passionate fans to this day. This film will tell the story of the team through the eyes of those who lived it.”

Stadium issues, battles between the city and team ownership, player fire sales and the eventual sale to Major League Baseball are all expected to be addressed. The Expos played in Montreal from 1969 until 2004. Prior to the 2005 season, the team relocated to Washington, D.C., and became the Washington Nationals.
