97.3 KIRO Newsradio in Seattle has a new daily lineup as afternoon co-host Shari Elliker has departed the station in a round of layoffs.
Elliker joined the news/talk outlet in December 2021 as afternoon co-host alongside John Curley. Before joining the outlet, she worked as a traffic reporter in both Baltimore and Washington D.C., and also hosted both mornings and afternoons at WBAL in Baltimore, according to RadioInsight.
As Elliker exits, nighttime host Jake Skorheim — who worked as the producer of longtime host Dori Monson from 2009 to 2016 before rejoining KIRO in August last year — will move to afternoons to pair with Curley.
As a result, the station has added The John Batchelor Show, a nationally syndicated show, to in the night time slot.
Additionally, traffic reporter Nate Connors is departing the Bonneville-owned station. He joined the station in 2022.
