Eric Von Haessler: Using ‘Experts Say’ Biggest Lie Media Members Use

"There's always an expert who disagrees. They just don't go ask that expert."

There are plenty of experts in plenty of subjects that media members and news/talk radio hosts utilize every day. 95.5 WSB host Eric Von Haessler is a little skeptical of those claims.

During The Von Haessler Doctrine, the host argued that you can find any “expert” to say virtually anything you’d like them to as long as they agree with your premise.

The topic came up as a recent story claimed “experts” believe that messaging from the Democratic Party towards its opposition by calling Republicans “weird” has been an effective strategy.

“Yeah, experts who are going to vote for Kamala Harris,” posited Von Haessler. “That’s the thing about experts. There’s always an expert who disagrees. They just don’t go ask that expert. It’s the greatest way to pretend that, as a journalist, you’re being objective when you’re not. You just have ‘Ok, there’s this thing I want to say, and I want to write about. I’ll just go find the experts who agree with me and then I’ll say ‘experts say.’

“You really believe there isn’t a political expert out there that doesn’t have another opinion or do all experts believe in this? They know people are dumb. It will never occur to people, ‘Boy, an awful lot of people are saying the word ‘weird’, when four days ago nobody was saying it. That’s kind of odd.'”

He continued by arguing that the word “weird” was probably workshopped by Democrats to avoid sounding as if they’re mocking mental illness. Eric Von Haessler concluded by stating his belief that it’s another reason why American’s shouldn’t put any faith in political candidates.

“I’ll always see through them. But if you guys wanna fall in love with political candidates and believe they ever think about you? Have fun.”
