Don Stuck has resigned from iHeartMedia’s Classic Rock WFBQ (Q95)/Indianapolis after 34 years. Stuck’s Facebook profile indicates that he intends to focus on an acting career his band and another radio position.
Stuck wrote, “To resign on your own terms in the radio world is a rare thing these days, and that’s exactly what I have done. After working for Q95 and the old X103 WRZX since 1990, I have tendered my resignation to iHeartRadio. It’s been a blast for the last 34 years but new opportunities including an unforeseen acting career, more gigs with ‘The Don Stuck Band’ than I can handle, and some GREAT radio news coming soon pulled the trigger for me! I despise long posts but to avoid incorrect speculation, I wanted to put this out there that this was 100% my decision, as the new opportunities are just too compelling to ignore any longer. A more complete explanation and more news on the next chapter of radio for me is forthcoming in a video. I couldn’t be more thrilled and, honestly, more frightened! lol.”
The IMDb lists acting credits in Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Emperor Of Ocean Park, and Unfortunately The Best of Both Worlds, among others.
Stuck has held various positions since joining the station in 1990, including mornings, traffic, and master control operator for the syndicated “Bob & Tom Show.”
A licensed pilot, Stuck has been on several stations, “Eye In The Sky,” including NBC 5 in Chicago.
As a professional musician since the age of 16, Don has performed alongside some of rock’s biggest bands, including Green Day, Stone Temple Pilots, Buckcherry, and Alice in Chains, among others.
