Donald Trump made his first in-studio appearance on a late-night show since 2016 with Fox News host Greg Gutfeld Wednesday. It led to a large audience.
During Trump’s visit, more than 4.9 million viewers tuned into the program according to Nielsen. That figure represents the largest viewership total in Gutfeld! history. Included in that total were more 744,000 viewers from the 25-54 demographic.
The program hosted by Greg Gutfeld was the most-watched show in all of cable and broadcast television in the primetime window Wednesday evening.
The conversation with Donald Trump marks the third time the program has set a new ratings record in 2024. In May, Greg Gutfeld sat down with comedian Bill Maher for his Fox News primetime show, which featured an audience of 2.9 million. That eclipsed the previous high-water mark set in January.
The high ratings for Gutfeld! come after the primetime host inked an extension with Fox News in April.
