As Major League Baseball needs an extra day to work out all of the playoff spots for the Wild Card round, ESPN has announced the broadcasters who will work the Wild Card series. 880 ESPN New York host Michael Kay had announced on the air Friday he would be doing the Houston Astros series and we now know they will host the Detroit Tigers. Kay will work with Todd Frazier, Tim Kurkjian and Alden Gonzalez.

The other AL Wild Card series will feature the Kansas City Royals and the Baltimore Orioles. Sean McDonough will work as the play-by-play voice on that series along with Jessica Mendoza, Ben McDonald and Jeff Passan.

On the National League side, the San Diego Padres and the Milwaukee Brewers know they will be hosting a series, they just won’t know until later today who they will be playing. The other series will be hosted by the Brewers who also do not know their opponent. Jon Sciambi, Doug Glanville and Jesse Rogers will work the series for ESPN.

ESPN said the New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves doubleheader scheduled for today would air on ESPN2 and the ESPN app. The Sunday Night Baseball team will be on the call for those two games. Right now, the Braves, Mets and Diamondbacks are all still in the mix.
