TNT Sports has announced former NBA on TNT producer Tim Kiely is returning to the company ahead of the start of the NBA regular season. Kiely was instrumental in the success and popularity of TNT Sports’ studio production during his first stint with the company from 1995-2023.
Kiely will serve as vice president, executive producer of NBA studio production. He had retired after the 2023 NBA season
Prior to that, Kiely had served as vice president executive producer of production, including oversight for Inside the NBA. Kiely started with Turner in 1995 and became a producer of the show which has now won 21 Sports Emmy Awards. The current lineup features Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.
Along with the NBA on TNT, Kiely has overseen the studio shows for MLB on TBS, NASCAR, Atlanta Braves baseball, college football and Wimbledon. He also played a key role in the launch of NBA TV.
Previously, Kiely served as coordinating producer at ESPN where he produced studio shows across multiple properties.
