With March Madness just around the corner, Sports Betting Network VSiN has announced its coverage plans for the annual first weekend of the basketball tournament. VSiN has introduced “Sharp Week” as its wall-to-wall coverage for NCAA Basketball Tournament fans, beginning on March 16, which is Selection Sunday.
VSiN states that during “Sharp Week,” listeners will be treated to network coverage featuring the latest news, analysis, and insights needed to make informed wagering decisions. The week will be solely focused on betting analysis ahead of the first set of NCAA Tournament games.
“With a handle that dwarfs the Super Bowl, March brings the biggest sports betting event of the year, and VSiN covers college hoops like no one else can,” said Bill Adee, CEO of VSiN, via a statement. “With the leading college basketball betting experts, former players, legendary bookmakers, and professional bettors covering every wagering angle, ‘Sharp Week’ will empower sports fans and bettors with everything they need this March. And don’t let the name fool you—we have all the content that bettors need, from the sharpest of bettors to those just looking to fill out their office brackets.”
VSiN will broadcast “Sharp Week” from its downtown Las Vegas Circa studio as well as SiriusXM’s Wynn studio on the Las Vegas Strip. The network also announced that it will kick off its celebration of “Sharp Week” by offering a free preview of all VSiN Pro premium content to anyone now through March 16.
The NCAA Tournament has always been a mainstay for large gatherings and wagering in the United States. The tournament lasts three weeks and leads to increased viewership across the CBS, TBS, truTV, and TNT platforms. Last year’s men’s championship viewership increased slightly compared to the previous year, as an average of 14.82 million viewers tuned in on TBS and TNT to watch defending champions UConn defeat Purdue 75-60 in another battle of No. 1 seeds.
The women’s title game drew more viewers than the men’s for the first time in history, averaging 18.7 million viewers on ABC and ESPN and peaking at 24 million viewers. The viewership figures for the women’s final made it the most-watched women’s college basketball game on record, as well as the most-watched basketball game, men’s or women’s, since 2019.
VSiN’s announcement states the goal is to help sports fans and bettors navigate this year’s tournament with previews of every matchup and the latest line movements, featuring reports from Las Vegas and contest information.
The network’s program “VSiN Live” will air on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, broadcasting live from the Wynn Las Vegas and covering the games in progress. The shows will also stream live on the VSiN YouTube channel.
