President Donald Trump has set a military parade for Washington D.C. for Saturday, June 14th, and networks like ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, and NBC News have plotted their coverage.
The June 14th date is significant for a multitude of reasons. Saturday marks the 250th anniversary of the creation of the United States Army. It is also Flag Day, in addition to the 79th birthday of Donald Trump.
The parade will reportedly feature several different kinds of helicopters and other military vehicles, as well as a parachute jump by the branch’s Golden Knights team, among other planned exhibitions.
Below is a list of how assorted television networks plan to cover the event.
ABC News
ABC News will not broadcast the parade on its linear television channel.
Instead, it will relegate coverage to its ABC News Live streaming platform, which will begin coverage at 6 PM ET. Coverage of the military parade is scheduled to run until 9 PM ET on the streaming platform.
ABC is slated to broadcast the UFL Championship Game between the Michigan Panthers and DC Defenders on Saturday at 8 PM ET.
CBS News
Similarly to ABC News, CBS News will provide coverage of the event on its CBS News 24/7 streaming network, but not on its linear television network.

On CBS, the network is planning to continue its weekend coverage like normal, with an episode of the CBS Evening News airing nationally at 6:30 PM ET, alongside local programming stations that are responsible for covering in the early evening windows.
Fox News
Fox News is set to preempt its usual Saturday evening programming to cover the event.
In what it’s dubbing Army 250 Parade, the network will feature live programming from 6-10 PM ET. Fox & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones and Outnumbered co-host Emily Compagno will lead the network’s coverage from Washington D.C.
Additionally, Fox & Friends Weekend hosts Rachel Campos-Duffy, Johnny Joey Jones, and Charlie Hurt will host the Saturday edition of the program from West Potomac Park in the nation’s capital as a preview of the event. Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll is slated to appear as a guest during the Fox News morning show.

Barrett Media was told by those close to the situation that Ali Velshi will be in attendance at the parade and would cover any news that would develop “as it happens.”
