Cumulus Media’s Westwood One is set to debut its new Sports Talk programming lineup on Monday, December 29, marking a major expansion of its sports content across radio and digital platforms. The revamped schedule features a mix of established personalities and rising stars, offering fans nonstop sports conversation, analysis, and engagement throughout the day.
Anchoring the weekday afternoons, The Jim Rome Show will continue to air from 3pm to 6pm ET, maintaining the show’s signature style of outspoken commentary and lively listener interaction.
Kicking off the morning drive from 6am to 9am ET, Drake C. Toll will bring energy and perspective to start the day. Toll’s approach blends insightful analysis with a conversational style designed to engage a broad spectrum of sports fans.
The new lineup also features longtime ESPN Chicago sports radio hosts Chris Bleck and Adam Abdalla. They will handle the noon-to-3pm ET slot. The duo’s two-decade friendship underpins a natural on-air chemistry, producing bold takes alongside interactive segments that invite fan participation.
Late-night listeners will be served by Westwood One Sports Night, airing from 11pm to 3am ET. Hosted by Lynnell Willingham and Josh Graham, the show aims to combine high-energy debate with intellectual analysis. Willingham delivers opinionated, tell-it-like-it-is commentary, while Graham contributes a curiosity-driven perspective designed to provoke fresh discussions that fans won’t hear anywhere else.
The network’s previously announced shows remain integral to the lineup. Nick Kostos’ You Better You Bet will air weekdays from 9am to noon ET, offering sports betting insights, while BetMGM Tonight, hosted by Brad Evans and Pat Boyle, will run live from 6pm to 11pm ET, providing analysis and updates for betting enthusiasts.
“With our partners at Audacy, we’ve assembled a group of diverse and passionate sports voices committed to covering the biggest sports stories with opinions, expert analysis, and fan interaction,” said Bruce Gilbert, Westwood One SVP of Sports | Content & Audience. “This lineup will highlight the biggest stories and provide timely information that is fresh, fun, and fan-focused.”

The new Westwood One Sports Network extends a partnership between Westwood One and Audacy that first began with the launch of CBS Sports Radio in 2012. Westwood One has handled sales and distribution for the network since its launch. Under this new partnership, Westwood One will assume programming and distribution for the majority of the lineup of syndicated sports programming. Audacy will continue to produce popular BetMGM Network programs moving to the new network with BetMGM remaining a presenting partner and the exclusive sportsbook partner of those programs.

No programming from 3 AM to 6 AM EST? And two Wednesday late-night hosts?
dear Westwood one and Audacy:
It is was incredible sadness that I learn you have fired some of the best radio sports broadcasters in the business, including Jodi Macdonald, Zack Gelb and David Shepherd. to name a few.
Nor does the world need yet another betting network.
Does the NFL grid iron game day program get the axe too?
I urge you to rehire some of best names in the business and do it quickly.
For shame ladies and gentlemen.
You will reap what you sow.
it not too late to avoid this disaster.
I agree, Rick. I’ll miss Bart Winkler and Maggie and Perloff. Not sure how much I’ll be listening anymore other than Romie.
all terrible radioih
they have effectively turned me back to ESPN radio. shame on Westwood.
I am saddened and shocked you removed Bart Winkler, David Shepherd, and Jodi Macdonald, shame on you. Please consider bringing these guys back, I will not be listening any more if it stays this way.
Betting shows thinly disguised as sports talk radio is what this is all about. They hoping the dollars from the gaming industry will make up for the loss of the traditional sports talk audience. I find the gambling talk incredibly boring and change the station.
very well said! Westwood one has created a betting network thinly disguised as a sports talk network, with all of the best sports presenters fired and dismissed.
I’m done. You really screwed up by dumping Bart and Karlos, Shep, and Jodi Mac. Time to find some other network.
I am saddened to lose Jody Mac on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. Going to miss Bart and JR weeknights too. I would look forward to Pat Boyle on weeknights except I am not a gambler and have no desire to become one or listen to radio geared towards that. Unfortunately, I saw this coming when that idiot Spike Eskin moved Shaun Morash, aka Mraz to New York radio. This led directly to DA leaving for greener pastures. A once great network destroyed from within, replaced with a bunch of hosts I have no desire to listen too. I guess it is back to KNBR or investigating Fox Sports radio.
Will Josh Graham still cover the Triad? Will I have a radio source to hear about my Appalachian State University Mountaineers? Will the ACC still have a voice of reason? Will there still be unusual questions. Will East Carolina have someone on the radio to talk about them? Will we still get to hear interviews from Dowell Loggains? Will the show be live? Can I call into the show and give my opinion. Questions I have, will they be answered in a way that I want? Please, do not be like NASCAR and forget who got you there. Will Josh still cover local sports teams?
CBS Sports Radio was a joke with their minor league talent but this is worst. Shepard talking about mental heatlh was good radio? Winkler has one of the worst nasel voices and having Lawrence on rhe radio for enternity with all talk about her husband dog etc made for horriable radio. Good riddance all maybe they can get a job in Fresno CA or KNBR since they have UBEr drivers on air. Maggie and Perloff were the only ones with credentials the rest lacking basic broadcasting skills.
along with callers with no insights and lanquage skills made for bad radio.
