Former Flyer Boucher Lands NBC Analyst Role

A popular former Philadelphia Flyer has landed a national broadcasting role, joining two of his former teammates.

Former Flyers goaltender Brian Boucher joins NBC Sports Group this season as a full-time “Inside-the-Glass” and studio analyst for National Hockey League’s 2015-16 season that begins Wednesday night.

The “Inside-the-Glass” role means Boucher will serve as an in-game color analyst while placed between the two team’s benches, rather than in a broadcast booth.

Boucher made his debut with NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) as an analyst during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He spent the regular season serving as a Flyers pre and post game analyst and, according to CSN, he will continue in that role on top of his new national duties.

Boucher joins former Flyers Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick, who are studio analysts for NBCSN and NBC.
