Detroit Sports 105.1 parted ways this past Monday with afternoon personality Drew Lane.
But 105.1 has wasted no time making moves to retool the radio station.
Sean Baligian, who has built his career in Detroit and Grand Rapids, is expected to take over the 12p-3p slot on the station. He will start on Nov. 2.
Matt Dery, who had been hosting 12p-3p is filling in during afternoon drive. He remains a strong candidate to become the permanent replacement for Lane.
It’s unknown at this time if Marc Fellhauer, who had been on the afternoon show working with Lane, will remain with 105.1. It’s believed he is still talking with the radio station about a potential on-air role.
Baligian, who has been hosting for 96.1 in Grand Rapids and filling in on 105.1, is expected to do his show solo. It is possible though that Tom Mazawey and/or Jake Chapman could appear on the show in a supporting role.
