“When Rich and I talk about our brand, we always think in terms of what East Tennessee listeners want to hear,” Smith said. “I think Knoxville is really going to like hearing us on this station.”

Fox Sports Radio Knoxville launched this football season, and includes local programming like The Nate Hodges Show and The Tom Poisal Show, as well as national names (Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen).

“It’s an honor to share the airwaves with local talents like Nate Hodges and Tom Poisal,” said Smith. “And to have household names like Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen as our lead-in is only going to enhance our show.”

Added Hodges, also the station’s general manager: “Russell and Richard bring an edgy, interactive style to the afternoon airwaves and have a loyal following of listeners, for good reason.

Smith and Daugherty are also frequent contributors to WBIR.
