How ESPN’s Adam Schefter Got His First Big Break

Few people in the media today create a consistent impact like ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter. He’s become the go-to source for NFL information. Currently he has more than 4 million people following him on Twitter.

But Schefter’s success didn’t happen overnight and he’s paid a lot of dues to get to where he is now. Adam got rejected so many times while exploring a career in this industry that he gladly accepted relocating across the country for a newspaper job which paid him $23,000 a year.

To help with the transition from print to television, he volunteered at a local station to get reps. That decision eventually helped him land an on-air role at the NFL Network before paving the way for his current role at ESPN.
