The Rams are moving back to Los Angeles for the first time since 1994, the Clippers are a consistent playoff team, and Fred Roggin, Bill Plaschke, Jeanne Zelasko, and Chris Meyers are household names that Los Angeles sports fans recognize and connect with.
But none of that matters now for The Beast 980.
Today marks the end of the radio station’s run in the sports format in the city of Angels. Ownership announced in early January that the radio station had been sold to a group which intended to switch formats. As a result, the staff will now have to explore new opportunities.
The radio station showed their appreciation to their audience today with a goodbye post on their website. I’d like to congratulate Tom Lee and his team on their last two years and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
