Marc Spears Is Joining The Undefeated

ESPN has made an addition to The Undefeated which is sure to generate some buzz for the brand. Yahoo NBA writer Marc Spears is joining the new website which plans to focus on race and culture. Spears has been a huge asset for Yahoo Sports, and his addition helps add some energy and credibility to the platform prior to its launch.

Spears confirmed the career change on Twitter.

Spears had been with Yahoo since 2009 and became a go to source for breaking news on the NBA. Prior to joining Yahoo, he worked for the Louisville Courier-Journal, Denver Post and Boston Globe. His addition should help Merida not only legitimize The Undefeated brand, but it should serve as a positive when attempting to lure other talented sports media writers to the website.
