Sports Radio 610 KILT morning man Nick Wright confirmed this morning that he’s leaving the Houston airwaves. His final day with CBS Houston will be Friday April 8th. He’s been a host at 610 since June 2012.
Wright’s departure is the result of landing a new opportunity in Los Angeles with Fox Sports. He’s expected to contribute to Fox Sports 1’s television programming. A role with Fox Sports Radio is expected in the future but no details are available at this time.
This is the second time in recent months that Fox Sports has ventured into local radio markets to hire personalities for their television programming. Last month the company lured talented Miami personality Joy Taylor to Los Angeles.
Wright’s official debut on Fox Sports is unclear at this time but you can follow him on Twitter @getnickwright to learn of future details.
In the meantime, KILT is looking for a new weekday personality to contribute to their morning show. Program Director Ryan McCredden is accepting resumes and demos and is looking at internal and external options to solidify the radio station’s weekday shows. If interested, apply here.
