104.5 The Team Parts Ways With “The Wolf”

Bob “Wolf” Wohlfeld was hired in March to join the afternoon drive show with Jeff Levack on 104.5 The Team when Armen Williams departed to become program director of 104.3 The Fan in Denver. Unfortunately that run has come to an end.

On Wednesday, 104.5 The Team fired Wolf. The radio station hasn’t named a replacement, although producer Tom “Goz” Goslowski worked alongside Levack on Wednesday afternoon.

Many wondered whether Wohlfeld had the interest, passion, and knowledge to lead a show that was geared towards reaching a hard-core sports audience. They were proven right, as Levack would often have to do the heavy lifting, especially when guests appeared on the program.

Wolf is undoubtedly a talented host, but sometimes situations fail or succeed depending on the fit. His departure comes at a bad time for 104.5 The Team. The radio station is entering the fall where football takes center stage, and they’re already down a man due to producer and on-air contributor Brady Farkas leaving to become program director for 101.3 in Burlington, Vermont.
