Chris Wittyngham was promoted to the afternoon show with Ethan Skolnick on 790 The Ticket in Miami this past May. Unfortunately, that pairing is coming to an end sooner than expected.
Wittyngham has announced that he’s leaving The Ticket in order to pursue work with CBS Sports Interactive, who will utilize him as a host on their website and social channels. In addition, he will continue doing play by play work for BeIN Sports, primarily on soccer games. Wittyngham had been with The Ticket for the past 4+ years.
According to sources, Wittyngham’s contract was set to expire this Thursday, and the new opportunities had greater appeal to him.
When reached for comment he said “I had an amazing time working with everyone at 790 The Ticket, particularly my cohorts on the Ethan Skolnick Show and my program director Len Weiner. I’m not concerned with the present but rather what’s in store for the future. I think this is a leap worth taking.”
