Arizona Sports Adds Mike Jurecki To Middays

In May, Mike Jurecki was laid off at iHeartRadio Phoenix after spending two decades at KGME-AM. One month later, he’s landed on his feet with a new exciting position at one of the Valley’s best radio stations.

Bonneville Phoenix have announced they’ve come to terms with Jurecki to join the Arizona Sports content team as a talk show host and multimedia reporter. His first day on the air with 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station will be Monday June 19th.

“Mike Jurecki is one of the original icons of Phoenix sports radio and is the ultimate Arizona Cardinals insider,” said Ryan Hatch, Bonneville Phoenix Vice President of Content and Operations. “Our goal is to deliver local sports fans unique and exclusive content on radio, online and on social media, and we’re very excited to add him to our powerful local roster.”

Jurecki’s new opportunity will include teaming up with former Arizona Cardinals defensive star Bertrand Berry. The duo will form “The Blitz with B-Train and Jurecki” and patrol the airwaves weekdays from 10a-12p MT.

In addition to his on-air role, the station says Jurecki will provide exclusive written, audio, and video content for ArizonaSports.com and the Arizona Sports app. He’s also expected to contribute to the station’s Cardinals game day coverage.

“I am thrilled to work with a team truly committed to producing local sports content,“ stated Jurecki. “I look forward to teaming up with Bertrand, a player I covered and respected on and off the field, and creating content for one of the largest local sports websites in the country.”
