Gow Media announced yesterday Sean Salisbury will cut back on his daily lineup of radio shows. Salisbury will leave his local midday show in Houston to further focus on his evening national show.
Salisbury had been hosting a local show, “Unfiltered,” on ESPN 97.5 in Houston from 11am – 1pm followed by his national show, “The Sean Salisbury Show,” on SB Nation Radio from 4-8pm ET. Gow Media owns the national sports radio network, SB Nation Radio along with local Houston radio stations which include ESPN 97.5.
“The Sean Salisbury Show is on a really strong trajectory with a ton of momentum,” said David Gow, CEO of Gow Media, referring to Salisbury’s national show on SB Nation. “The show has recently picked up new radio station affiliates in Lubbock, Phoenix and Atlanta. And we are excited to have Sean focus his efforts on the next wave of growth for the show.”
“The Sean Salisbury Show” is co-hosted by Brian Barrett and Robin Carlin, producer Adam Sager is also a contributor. The program is also simulcast each weekday from 5-7pm ET on beIn Sports TV.
Regarding the future of his national show, Salisbury stated, “We have a blast doing the show each day,” said Sean Salisbury. I love working with the team at Gow Media and with beIn Sports TV to provide a fast-paced show loaded with opinions.”
Following Salisbury’s 10 year career as an NFL quarterback, he’s had a number of TV and radio jobs, including a 12 year stint at ESPN where he was an analyst for SportsCenter and NFL Live. Salisbury began hosting for Gow Media four years ago and will continue to do so with “The Sean Salisbury Show” on SB Nation Radio.
