There’s a shakeup on the sports airwaves in Vancouver. Sportsnet 650 is making some big changes in both mornings and middays.
Regular morning host James Cybulskiis is joined by former afternoon co-host and award-winning sports journalist Perry Solkowski and Rick Dhaliwal, who is a 28 year veteran of the Vancouver market. The new morning show is called Sportsnet’s Starting Lineup and airs weekdays from 5:30-9 am.
The new midday show is called Reach Deep. It features former Toronto sports radio host Dan Riccio and Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition host Randip Janda. Janda has been with Sportsnet 650 since its launch last year. Reach Deep will air weekdays from 1-4pm.
Finally, former morning co-host Mira Laurence stays with the station. She will return to her role as the game reporter for Sportsnet 650’s broadcasts of Vancouver Canucks games.
In a press release, program director Craig MacEwan says the new lineup is meant to breathe new life into the station.
