Curtis Media’s WSJS Sports in the North Carolina Triad found their new afternoon host as Josh Graham will fill the 3-6pm timeslot for the area covering three cities, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point.
“Local sports fans are in for a treat. After a nationwide search that generated hundreds of applicants, Josh stood above the rest,” said Curtis Media Group/Triad General Manager Al Bunch. “Josh is passionate about ACC and North Carolina sports, has strong opinions and boundless energy. You may not always agree with him, but you will always be entertained and informed with Josh’s inside information and deep knowledge of sports.”
Graham takes over for Kyle Schassburger who announced in late June he would no longer be the afternoon drive host for WSJS Sports. Schassburger assisted in the station’s flip from news to an all sports format, but stated management wanted to move in a different direction with the show.
Graham joins the Triad after spending the last two years as afternoon host and sports director for 94.3 The Game in Greenville, NC. Graham told his Twitter followers the decision to leave 94.3 was not easy, but the radio host also expressed excitement for his next career stop, “I am thrilled to join WSJS Sports and am ready to immerse myself in to the Triad, the home of the ACC.”
The Drive with Josh Graham will be heard on a total of eight Curtis Media owned stations including WSJS 600 along with 900AM and six other frequencies.
