Turner Reveals Plans for Champions League Coverage

USA Soccer will have a strong presence in Turner’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League. USMNT keeper Tim Howard will be an analyst for a select number of games, even as he is still an active member of the Colorado Rapids.

Former USMNT player Stu Holden is also in Turner’s plans. Fox has given him permission to discuss a deal to join Turner as a studio analyst. If a deal comes to fruition, Holden will be joining fellow Fox broadcaster Kate Abdo in the studio.

Steve Nash, the former NBA MVP, will also be part of Turner’s UEFA Champions League coverage. Nash is a part owner of the MLS’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the Spanish club Mallorca. His brother Martin had 38 caps for the Canadian National Team. Their father was also a professional soccer player.

In total, Turner will air 46 UEFA Champions League games on TNT. The games will also be a part of the company’s OTT service B/R Live, which will offer both a full season and pay-per-game plans for fans to stream the matches.
