ESPN has reached an agreement on a multi-year extension with SEC Network football analyst Chris Doering. He will continue in his role as a contributor on SEC Now and Saturday college football coverage. The new deal will also have Doering appearing on ESPN as well.
SEC Network coordinating producer Pete Watters said in a press release that resigning Doering was a no-brainer for the company.
His easygoing style and willingness to work hard to get the job done make him stand out as a fan favorite and a favorite of our production team. Whether it’s his attention to detail on a football Saturday, or traveling to campus for our spring football coverage, Chris treats everyone he comes into contact with like a long-lost friend.
Doering has been a mainstay of SEC Now alongside Dari Nowkhah and Gene Chizik on Saturdays in the fall. He also contributes to SEC Network’s spring football coverage every year.
Before entering the broadcasting business Doering was an All-American receiver for coach Steve Spurrier and the Florida Gators from 1993-1995. He spent ten seasons with seven different teams in the NFL. He joined SEC Network in 2015.
