Baseball Hall-of-Famer Reggie Jackson is launching a new weekly show on Mad Dog Sports Radio on SiriusXM. The show is called Swing Away with Reggie Jackson. It will be heard every Saturday from 11 until noon.
Jackson will cover more than just baseball on the show. He said in a press release that Swing Away will cover the goings-on across the sports landscape.
Like many fans out there,I’ve had a passion for all sports my entire life. I’ve also had a lot of great experiences in college and professional sports. So I’m excited to dive in each week and drive a discussion on anything and everything from around the sports landscape, share my thoughts on things, and talk to many of the great sports figures I’ve met along the way.
Although he only went pro in baseball, Reggie Jackson excelled at basketball, football, and track and field as well, in high school. He accepted a scholarship to play football at Arizona State before deciding to focus on baseball full time.
If Swing Away with Reggie Jackson is going to have a co-host, that has not yet been announced. This will not be Jackson’s first experience with SiriusXM or Mad Dog Sports radio. In 2009 he hosted a series of shows for Mad Dog Sports Radio, focusing on the MLB postseason.
