Patrick Sharpe is set to join the NBC Sports family tonight. He will make his debut on Blackhawks Pregame Live and Blackhawks Postgame Live as part of NBC Sports Chicago’s coverage of the Chicago Blackhawk’s visit to Edmonton. He will join host Pat Boyle and analysts Adam Burish and Jamal Mayers in the Chicago studios. Sharpe was a member of three Stanley Cup championship teams in Chicago.
NBC will also use Sharpe in its national NHL coverage. He will contribute to NBC and NBCSN’s pre and post game show NHL Live.
Sharpe retired from the NHL in April after a sixteen year career that included stops in Philadelphia and Dallas in addition to his 11 seasons with the Blackhawks. He said in a press release that he is excited to be able to stay close to the sport. “After a long career on the ice, it will be fun and challenging to be a part of the game from a new perspective, and I look forward to working with former teammates and people that I’ve watched on NBC Sports Chicago for many years.”
