The Undefeated will retain one of its top NFL writers. Jason Reid has signed a multi-year extension to remain on the staff of ESPN’s boutique site devoted to sports, race and culture.
The new deal will allow Reid to continue branching out across several ESPN platforms. He already contributes to Outside the Lines and SportsCenter, he makes regular appearances on various ESPN Radio shows, and in September 2016 provided the cover story for ESPN:The Magazine.
Reid was a beat writer covering the NFL for The Washington Post before his tenure at ESPN began in 2016. Less than a year later he joined the staff of The Undefeated.
“Jason is a dogged reporter whose work on athletes and activism has helped to define one of the central sports themes of our time,” ESPN’s Senior Vice President and Editor-in-Chief, Kevin Merida, said in a press release. “His collective body of journalism is extraordinary. We are fortunate to have him as our senior NFL writer.
