The ACC Network revealed a slate of original programming today that will be coming to the network after it launches in August. Among the offerings will be a pair of documentaries and a TV/Radio simulcast featuring Mark Packer and Wes Durham.
Packer & Durham will air each weekday morning from 7-10 Eastern on the ACC Network and on SiriusXM channel 371. The show is already on the radio under the name ACC Central. Durham, who is the radio voice of the Atlanta Falcons, was also announced as one of the network’s play-by-play personalities for football and basketball.
The Class That Saved Coach K will be the first documentary to air on the ACC Network. It will chronicle the success of Duke’s 1982 recruiting class, which is often credited as establishing Duke as a national power. It is set to debut on August 22.
The other documentary project is considerable further away. The Tournament: The History of ACC Basketball won’t hit the small screen until the 2020-2021 basketball season. It will be a multi-part series covering the entire history of the ACC Basketball Tournament.
Earlier this week ESPN announced a deal with DirecTV to carry the ACC Network. The 24/7 channel launches on August 22 and promises to carry 450 live games across the league’s 27 sports each year.
