Sports Channel 8 is getting called up to the weekday lineup in Raleigh. The show, which had been heard on Saturday mornings, will take over the 10 am – noon slot on Raleigh’s 99.9 the Fan starting August 15.
It is by no means a small show. Hayes Permar will be on the lead mic for Sports Channel 8 with Ben Swain, Josh Goodson, Brian Geisinger, and The Weather Moose all in the studio as well. Jonathan Rand will serve as producer.
The addition of another local show means that fans of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz in Raleigh will have to turn to Buzz Sports Radio to hear that show. The first two hours aired on 99.9 the Fan before giving way to The David Glenn Show. Now, all three hours of Le Batard will be heard in Raleigh and Durham.
Sports Channel 8’s promotion to the weekday lineup is a landmark for the Fan. It is the station’s first new local show in nearly a decade.
