Former Broncos linebacker Alfred Williams has found a new radio home in Denver. After leaving 104.3 the Fan earlier this year and sitting out a non-compete clause, Williams will join Jojo Turnbeaugh for a new afternoon show on Newsradio 850 KOA.
The new show is called Alfred & Jojo. It debuts on September 3 in afternoon drive.
It was reported earlier this week that Broncos Country Tonight would be moving into afternoon drive. The show, hosted by Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Albright, will instead stay in the 7 – 11 pm slot.
“There’s no bigger voice and no bigger laugh in afternoon radio than Alfred Williams,” iHeart Denver President Tim Hager said in a press release. “We are honored to welcome Big Al and his legions of fans to KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM. Big Al joins an expanded live and local lineup that truly embodies KOA’s new slogan, ‘The Voice of Colorado.’”
