Eric Johnson is reportedly out as program director of Beasley’s 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia. News of Johnson’s departure broke Monday afternoon by Kyle Scott of Crossing Broad.
Johnson joined The Fanatic in Nov. 2017, after 19 years with New Jersey 101.5. During Johnson’s two-year tenure, The Fanatic saw multiple changes to their weekday radio lineup. Most recently, The Fanatic’s midday show host and assistant program director, Jason Myrtetus announced he was laid off on Halloween.
Johnson’s apparent exit from The Fanatic came on the same day their sports radio rival, 94 WIP signed 30-year morning host Angelo Cataldi to a multiyear contract extension.
