Gerry Callahan will launch his own podcast on January 6. The show will be called The Gerry Callahan Podcast and he promises that it will feature “sports, politics, and revenge.”
Callahan joined his former WEEI morning co-host Kirk Minihane to make the announcement. The duo drew plenty of fire at the Entercom station. Their very non-PC sense of humor and Gerry’s outspoken conservative politics made the show the target of activists that encouraged advertisers not to do business with the station.
Fans of Callahan can already subscribe to the podcast on Spotify. He told Minihane and listeners that he is working on getting the podcast accepted on other platforms. New shows will be posted every Monday through Thursday before 10 AM.
Entercom let Callahan go in July after 20 years in morning drive. Greg Hill, who hosted the morning show at active rock station WAAF, replaced Callahan as the morning host at sister station WEEI.
