610 Sports Radio will replace Show & Verne with a pair of Kansas City natives. Cody Tapp and Alex Gold will take over the station’s mid day slot starting on January 2. Stephen Serda will stay on as the mid day show’s producer.
Tapp is a familiar voice to 610 listeners. He has been hosting the station’s night show. He has also been heard across much of the station’s weekend programming. Gold joins the station from SB Nation Radio, where he had been hosting The Gold Standard on weeknights.
“With the Chiefs playoff run about to begin, I can’t think of a more exciting time to start hosting at 610 Sports Radio in KC,” Gold tweeted.
The station began making changes to its mid day show in November. First, host Ron “Show” Hughley was let go. Earlier this month it was announced that his co-host, Josh Vernier, would go back to being the station’s Royals insider, a position he held until November of 2018.
