After an exhaustive search, Sports Radio 610 in Houston has found Clint Stoerner’s new co-host. Ron “The Show” Hughley officially gets the job after nearly three months of being a part of the show on an interim basis.
“We’re excited to add Ron “The Show” Hughley to the Entercom Houston team” said Program Director Armen Williams. “Ron always welcomes a fun debate on any sports conversation and leads the way with passionate and clear opinions that engage the audience.”
Hughley follows a very familiar path for Sports Radio 610 talent. He comes from 610 Sports in Kansas City, where he was in mid-days with Josh Vernier until November of last year. Nick Wright made a similar move between the two stations in 2012.
Sports Radio 610’s plans for afternoon drive were thrown for a loop in the fall. Stoerner first arrived at the station in July of 2019. The plan was that he would partner with Rick Kamla, who had recently been let go from sister station 92.9 the Game in Atlanta. Kamla shocked station management in October when he announced he would leave Houston to increase his role at NBA TV.
The station ran through many potential partners for Stoerner. Hughley came to Houston in March and the duo has been on air together ever since.
