The man best known to #NBATwitter as World Wide Wob has a new home. Rob Perez will now be creating content for FanDuel according to Ben Strauss of The Washington Post.
Perez has been producing a nightly show on Periscope called Late Night With Wob. That will now be a part of FanDuel. The show will likely get a more professional and more polished look with the resources of FanDuel and SportsGrid at Perez’s disposal.
According to Struass, the opportunity to work with FanDuel and SportsGrid gives Perez the opportunity to grow Late Night With Wob into the show he first envisioned.
‘I have always had this vision of a late-night NBA show,’ he said. ‘Like [David] Letterman or [Jimmy] Fallon with a monologue and prerecorded skits. I do it on Periscope now, but it’s janky. I want to revolutionize the way it’s consumed, integrating comments from viewers with the production value of linear TV‘.

FanDuel will also turn over a lot of its social media presence around the NBA to Perez. He will make videos and author posts for the brand. His more than half-a-million Twitter followers are proof that Perez is a valuable asset in that space.
Rob Perez joins FanDuel and SportsGrid after spending the last two years with The Action Network.
