Two powerhouse NFL reporters announced they’re partnering to launch a new podcast just in time for the football season to start. Set to debut Sept. 8, Jim Trotter and Steve Wyche will present Huddle & Flow.
The podcast will certainly cover the NFL, but also hit on pop culture, social issues, the global pandemic and much more through stories and great guests.
“What we want to give you here is something that’s authentic, that’s raw, that’s real talk from two Black men, from historically Black colleges viewing the NFL through a different prism,” Trotter said in the Huddle & Flow preview.
The NFL Network colleagues are two of the sport’s elite reporters. Wyche joined NFL Network in 2008 following a tenure covering the Falcons for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Trotter has been with NFL Network for more than two years, joining in 2018 after his four-year run with ESPN came to a close.
Their connections go beyond being NFL Network colleagues, having both attended Howard University in Washington D.C. And through their new podcast, they’ll look to give the audience an inside look at the discussions that happen in the green room, but might not make it on-air. Wyche noted he and Trotter have been working on putting an NFL Media podcast together for two years, and the timing is finally right for it to begin.
