Ian Rapoport Suspended From NFL Network

Ian Rapoport is out of action for two weeks. Outkick reported that the NFL Network sidelined its insider after he violated the league’s social media policy with a paid Instagram post.

Prior to the story becoming public knowledge, Rapoport posted a cryptic message on Twitter acknowledging the punishment, but not the offense.

This led to speculation that he had been suspended for posting photos of the Tennessee Titans violating the NFL’s Covid-19 protocols and hold group workouts at a high school after team members tested positive for the virus.

The network wasn’t upset that Rapoport was doing some advertising. It is what he was advertising that was a problem. The post that violated league standards was an advertisement for the company Manscaped and its Lawn Mower 3.0 razor, which is made for shaving the groin area.

Manscaped is no stranger to football fans. Not only does the company run ads on NFL and college football programming throughout the week, it is also a major advertiser in the podcast space. If you have ever listened to a male-targeted podcast, you have likely heard the company’s innuendo-filled advertisements.

Ian Rapoport has been sidelined in a major way. Not only will he not be used on NFL Network programming again before October 22, he also will not be writing. His social media presence will be impacted as well.
