Veteran sportscaster and journalist Mike Yam is joining NFL Network. The announcement from Yam came just two months after he was let go from the Pac-12 Network.
Yam did not announce what his role with NFL Network will be or when it will begin, but it’s likely to involve studio work. The former radio host and SportsCenter anchor spent the last nine years with the Pac-12 Network. At the time of Yam’s departure in August, the Pac-12 Conference was not planning to have a football season, which likely influenced the decision to reduce staff.
Prior to his tenure with the Pac-12 Network, Yam spent four years as a SportsCenter anchor, having also worked as a radio host for SiriusXM, ESPN Radio, 1050 ESPN in New York and the Fantasy Focus Basketball podcast during his career.
