IHeartMedia has not acknowledged that it is experiencing a reduction in force, but talent and programmers from across the country in multiple formats report that have been laid off.
So far, the majority of layoffs being reported by All Access are in the music formats, but Barrett Sports Media has learned that Fox Sports 910 in Phoenix has lost Matthew Jarecki. Also in Phoenix, the cast of night show Kenny & Crash is out.
Late Monday afternoon All Access reported that Michael Rivera is out in El Paso. He was the PD of spoken word formats for the cluster including FOX Sports 1380 AM. FOX Sports 1380 also loses its afternoon host. Michael Tipton confirmed on his Facebook page that he was let go.
Matt Culbreath is out in Toledo. All Access reports that the creative services director who helped shape the sound of news and sports stations in the market has been let go.
Barrett Sports Media will report more names across the sports format as they become available.
