Norah O’Donnell to Interview President Biden as Part of CBS Super Bowl Coverage

President Joe Biden will sit down for an interview with CBS News, which will air on the network before the Super Bowl.

The recorded interview will air sometime in the 4 p.m. hour, Variety reported. “CBS Evening News” host Norah O’Donnell will sit down with Biden to discuss various topics that he will face early on in his presidency.

“When the president addresses a broad audience, such as the one who will be watching the Super Bowl, talking about distilling policy issues is a challenge for a journalist,” NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie stated.

“The last thing everyone is thinking about or wanting to talk about is politics,” Guthrie said. “Striking the right balance, having the right tone for the context of the day, but you want to do an interview that is helpful, asks some important questions.” An interview with the president ahead of the Super Bowl is starting to become an annual tradition. Last year, Former President Trump was interviewed with Fox News host Sean Hannity where he used the eight-minute segment to call Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) a “communist” and rip the recent impeachment effort against him.
