“Rush Limbaugh Day” Designation Passes in Missouri State House

The bill was added to a proposal that would also honor Black Missourians George Washington Carver and Buck O’Neil.

Republican Rep. Sara Walsh, a supporter of the bill, lauded Rush for his courage and talent.

“Rush demonstrated courage to speak boldly and encouraged his listeners and viewers to reach for their dreams and to push onward beyond the naysayers and discouragers that we all encounter in life,” Walsh said.

Limbaugh died of complications from lung cancer on Feb 17. His syndicated radio show continues to air on hundreds of stations around the country utilizing guest hosts and Limbaugh’s wisdom from the past.
