The Super Bowl is this Sunday, and one of the more recent traditions before the big game is when the current president addresses the country.
Before the Los Angeles Rams face off against the Cincinnati Bengals, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt will sit down with President Joe Biden that will air on Feb. 13th.
The interview will occur in Virginia; this marks President Biden’s first sit-down interview of 2022 and his first since marking one year in office. Additional highlights will also air before the Super Bowl Friday, Feb. 11th, on TODAY, Nightly News, MSNBC, NBCNews.com, and NBC News NOW.
During former President Donald Trump’s first Super Bowl in office, he spoke to former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly. Trump skipped a scheduled interview the following year with NBC and Holt.
However, the following year, Trump sat down for a Super Bowl interview with CBS’ Margaret Brennan. Biden did sit down last year with CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell before the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs.
