One American News Network (OAN) recently saw satellite company DirecTV drop its channel from its lineup. As a result, former President Trump is urging his supporters to boycott DirecTV.
“If AT&T/DirecTV cancels OAN, I hope that everyone will boycott and cancel DirecTV,” Trump said in a statement. “It is a very popular channel, far more popular than most would understand, and they are being treated horribly by the Radical Left lunatics running the networks.”
“Don’t let it happen; cancel DirecTV. If you feel infringed by what this Communist movement is doing, cancel DirecTV!”
Last month, DirecTV informed Herring Networks Inc., which owns and operates OAN, that it would not renew its contract to broadcast the cable news channel. OAN’s deal with DirecTV is reportedly set to expire in April.
A couple of weeks ago, Robert Herring Sr. appeared on the channel asking his viewers to call DirecTV and other companies to demand they keep OAN.
“Whether it’s Spectrum, Dish, or any of the other great providers … let them know that you would like for them to carry One America News,” Herring said. “We only charge 10 cents per household per month. That is a great deal by any standard, giving all of the amazing content our team puts out.”
