Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) responded to Tucker Carlson, who called the politician “eyepatch McCain” during a conversation about foreign policy. Crenshaw called the Fox News host “juvenile” for his remarks.
Crenshaw had previously conveyed to Fox News host Trey Gowdy that people who do not back sending $40 billion to Ukraine for their war are “pro-Russia.” As a result, Carlson went after the representative.
“Why is Congress so focused on Ukraine, but you can’t find baby formula?” Carlson said. “According to congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas, asking questions like that, or really any questions at all, thinking you are a citizen, makes you’ pro-Russia.’”
“You know, the more I think about it, it takes a lot of gall for or eyepatch McCain to attack moms who are worried about baby formula as pro-Russia.”
Crenshaw spoke with The Daily Caller, responding to the remarks by the host, who was a co-founder of the outlet.
“You hurl juvenile insults when you know you’ve lost the debate,” Crenshaw said. “I stand by every word I said in my interview with Trey Gowdy.”
