Greg Norman had dinner with Charles Barkley this week in Atlanta. The two discussed the Hall of Fame forward joining LIV Golf in a broadcast capacity. Andrew Marchand of The New York Post reports that while no deal got done at the table, we may be headed down that road.
The commissioner and CEO of LIV is preparing an offer for Barkley.
While he isn’t ready to join the broadcast team yet, Sir Charles isn’t just forgetting about the tour. LIV Golf will be in New Jersey this weekend for an event at Trump Bedminster and Barkley says he will be there.
“I’m going to play in the Pro-Am,” Barkley told Marchand.
Dan Patrick previously reported that Barkley is aware that if he is going to accept an offer to call golf broadcasts, then he is aware he may have to give up his role on Inside the NBA. Barkley currently has three years left on his $30 million deal with TNT.
