On Monday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson leaned into a conspiracy theory suggesting that the Democrats engage in child sacrifice, leading many media members like former radio host and podcaster Joe Walsh to push back on the claims.
Walsh stated that the No. 1 host on cable news provided these accusations without evidence, and rather than his audience questioning his claims, they’ll agree with him.
“The #1 rated cable TV talk show host tonight called the Democratic Party a “child sacrifice cult,” Walsh tweeted on Monday.
“He accused Democrats of trafficking & killing children. Without any evidence. And his @FoxNews audience no doubt nodded in agreement.”
During his show, Carlson stated Democrats are not reaping the political advantages they expected to accumulate by talking about abortion ahead of the midterm elections next month.
“They’re going to take your abortions away. That was the Democratic message for the midterm elections, coming up in just a few days,” Carlson told viewers.
Furthermore, the Fox News host accused Democrats of selectively using the “My body, my choice” mantra.
“Abortion politics is a total fixation of Democratic donors,” Carlson said. “It’s the main thing they care about. Why is that, by the way? It’s a religion. It’s a child sacrifice cult. But not everyone else feels that way, even Democrats.”
